Kate Elfatah reviews Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

“While I acknowledge that this movie may be viewed as a mere cash grab, I surprisingly found myself not disliking it. Despite entering with low expectations, it managed to exceed them. I appreciated the nostalgic nods and was pleasantly surprised by the decent comedy writing; it genuinely elicited laughter from me. It may not be a masterpiece, but if you’re seeking a film to simply sit back, relax, and enjoy a few chuckles, this one fits the bill quite nicely,” says Kate Elfatah.

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family makes a pivotal decision to bid farewell to Summerville, Oklahoma, and return to the legendary New York City firehouse where it all began. There, they join forces with the original Ghostbusters, who have established a clandestine research facility aimed at elevating ghostbusting to unprecedented heights. However, the unearthing of an ancient artifact triggers the release of a malevolent force, necessitating a unified effort from both new and seasoned Ghostbusters to defend their turf and prevent the world from plunging into a catastrophic second Ice Age.
