Presented by Nouvelle PR, A Night In Floria held its inaugural Los Angeles event on August 24 at Fascinate House in DTLA. The art, fashion and film gala honored local Los Angeles artists and filmmakers, in celebration of the spirit of community.

Accomplished author, event host, and TEDx speaker JayBee served as the evening’s emcee. Innovator of the Year Awards were presented to Courtney L. Branch, two-time Emmy-nominated producer, and director of programming at the Micheaux Film Festival; and Chaz Bottoms, animation industry visionary, story artist, writer and founder of CBA Studios.

Upon arrival guests were greeted with a flute of bubbly and were invited to enjoy the fine artwork by Christen Austin.

JayBee moderated the informative panel themed Bringing The Vision to Life Panel, featuring Marteverick Shears, filmmaker and founder/CEO of Pressed Out Media, and entertainment entrepreneur Damian Hawkins.

DJ Resolution set the mood with a timeless hip-hop and RnB-inflected set. Special guests included Shawn Zanotti, Shontel Greene, Paulina Aguirre, Nina Shelby Grace, PhD,  and others. Event partners were French Riviera Film Festival (FRFF) and Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals.

Elaborate catering was provided by Leandro’s Cucina Italiana, with drinks by CoCo Craft Bartending.

The evening ended on a high note with a special US premiere screening of FRFF award winner, Berlin-based filmmaker Dominik Hill’s latest fashion short Flowers In The Dark – the perfect ending to A Night In Floria.

Shout out to Nouvelle PR’s Summer Bowie and Briannon Kelley for a night to remember!
